Just a short article here. This weekend is the annual fly in at Gateway Airpark (61LL) in Pierron Illinois. This is the airpark that i have been receiving my ultralight pilot training which is going really good by the way. I plan to get lots of video and pictures of the event and contests and i plan to get some interviews with some of the pilots. I will put all the media i get into a video and post it right here on the front page of the site.

For those wondering where the new downloads are dont fret they are coming very very soon. This week i will be busy helping the owner of the airpark get ready for this exciting event.

Things to come soon on the site include a new jet with modded and un-modded versions and a new carrier for multiplayer. A little birdy told me that the carrier will be able to meet or exceed speeds of 90 knots.

A new tools section will be added to the downloads along with modded versions of payware aircraft. You will have to have the original version of these aircraft installed to be able to utilize the mods just the same as our F-18.

Ok hope to see you in the skies soon!

Hey whats up everyone? Sorry i havent been around much but ive been spending alot of time at the airfield learning, helping, and flying.

I have good news to announce. I have successfully completed my ultralight solo flight on 7/30/09. It was alot of fun. I have about an hour or a little more flying solo at this point in a QuickSilver MX.

I only had about 5 hours of recreational flying in which i familiarized myself with the controls of the aircraft In a 2 place QuickSilver with a very good pilot. After only about 2 hours i was landing and taking off and doing some minor VFR navigation.

I have some pictures to share and soon will have video of me flying. You can click on the pictures for larger images.

2 Place Quicksilver

This is the 2 Place QuickSilver.

QuickSilver MX

This is the QuickSilver MX that i soloed in and fly for now.

My Solo Shirt

This is my solo shirt. Its tradition to have your shirt cut off and written on when you have completed your first solo.

The other half of the shirt will be hung in the hanger of the airfield.

Im doing alot better with heights. And im confident in my abilities. We praticed engine off landings and the ever so fun unusual attitude learning experience. Without warning my friend hit hard rudder and pulled the stick into the corner sending the plane in an unusual position and the told me "fix it". I immediately cut the power back to idle and used the ailerons and rudder to level and coordinate the plane. This was something i learned in the flight simulator.

Apparently all my hours in flight sim paid off. He said me getting familiar and able to fly the aircraft was just like transitioning someone from one plane to another. The main thing getting used to is the rudder pedals when im used to a twist flight stick. But the MX has no rudder pedals. The rudder is controlled by left and right stick movement and the elevator is controlled by forward and back stick movement. The pedals operate small spoilers on the top of the wings. One of the most awesome things ive experienced is coming in high on final and diving using the spoilers to slow me down. Its even more fun to let go of them for a moment and feel like your free falling.

Its alot of fun and i cant wait to go back up again. Ill have video for everyone soon.

Help Me Kick and Scream PDF Print E-mail
Written by SimGameIt

Hello everyone. Since i realize that our website patrons range in a variety of ages,

professions, and cultures i have come to you for help. As of lately ive made several

attempts to contact diffrent members of the government in the U.S. and it seems

i have done so in vain.

In this new era it seems that we have an ever increasing interest in "green" energy.

It seems like alot of members in our government think nuclear energy is the way to go.

While it is a mostly clean form of energy it is still very dangerous. While the constantly

updated safety features of these plants insure more and more safety against meltdowns

we still have highly radioactive waste from these plants and it seems like there is no

consideration for natural disasters and or terrorism not to mention "conventional" war.

And in the end we are still getting ripped off by the powerful and corrupt power

companies.

We are told as children if someone tries to do harm to us that we should kick and

scream until someone listens to us but as adults i think we forget or ignore that

valuble lesson. I am one of many that know of a CLEAN energy source that

is ready for us to develop. Its time we quit protecting the wealthy interests of power

companies and truley work on what we say we want.

I have contacted Richard Durbin's office (D) Senator of Illinois and

Claire McCaskill (D) Senator of Missouri without being able to talk to either

of them personally. As of a couple days ago i sent a message to none other

than Sarah Palin (R) Governor of Alaska. Now im sure Palin's office hasnt had

time to read my message yet so ill cut her and her staff some slack as of now.

So now to what im asking of you. Im pleading that the adults of this site

contact their representatives and that the children talk to their parents

about this and show them this message. I also ask that you pass on my

email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to your representatives and encourage them to

contact me.

Folks i dont want to go into what the plan is at this point but i will tell you

that it would throw out the new idea of a Smart Power Grid and replace

it with NO Power Grid with no large company to get rich while dictating rates.

Folks its time to kick and scream until they listen to us. We are tired of getting

ripped off and tired of all the pollution. Please take the time to contact your

representatives and pass on my email and or this message. Thanks in advance

for your efforts and in closing God Bless you all.
