Aerosoft has released a Falcon UL ultralight! This is the very plane owned by Mike Callahan aka SimGameIt.
This aircraft is very detailed and an exciting addition to flight sim.
The two stroke, single cylinder engine seems to produce far more vibrations and noise then push. The noise is harsh and nasty, very much like a moped with an engine that has been worked on and its exhaust removed.
Climb performance depends a lot the air around you. If you are in a downwards air column you are lucky to stay level. It`s without a doubt one of the least comfortable ways of air travel.
Yet Chuck Yeager flew them because they are just pure unadulterated fun to fly. Even with a Vne of 75 Mph (you need a serious dive to reach that) and a stall speed of 27 mph they are exciting to fly. Because the prop is behind you got your face in the wind without the nasty buffeting, the canard wing makes the flying experience very much like a fighter where you point the nose where you want to go. The puny Rotax 227 engine gives you just 27 hp (!) to play with, but connected to a 3 blade prop is extremely responsive. It is very much like a small English sport car where handling and lightness more than make up for the lack of horse power. Just do not forget your ear plugs.
So the Aerolites Falcon is a rather special beast. Both in the real world as in FSX (as it is the first high-end ultralight ever created for FS) it is unlike other aircraft. Everybody who flew it wants to have one. And that?s for the real aircraft and the superb model we offer in FSX. That?s special.
When launched in the 1980?s you could actually buy one; assemble it and fly it from your backyard without even having a driver?s license. Those days are gone, but the Falcon is still the same aircraft, small, simple, safe and easy, but a total hoot to fly!
Features:
Extensive and detailed animations
Realistic flight model
All models included
Five stunning liveries (plus one blank one for repainters)
Detailed and extensive manual
Very easy to fly, and as such an ideal first add-on aircraft
No complex DRM, straight and easy installer
Very light on FPS, ideal for the most complex VFR scenery

Hiya Folks. Been awhile so i thought id update the site so you can see what ive been doing with my time. Facebook has made it nice to keep you all updated. I hope to see more of you visiting our Facebook page. I promise as soon as the weather gets cooler and thing with real life flying slow down i will pump some planes out and maybe even some scenery. Soon we will have a 24-7 FSX server back up and running.
For now enjoy this video of me and a couple of friends flying in real life.
Been working on the plane some more. Decals are almost complete as in the photos and tonight im working on mounting the panel. Ill add that pic here when done. Then we have to make a template for the windshield and canopy and cut it out of lexan. After that ill work on wiring and mounting the engine. The wings still have to be painted and i have some work to do on the rudder tips before they can be painted. I plan to make a video showing the last of the work covering the rudder tips using the stits process. Below are photos of the decal work. Note the SimGameIt logo :-) Click on the pictures for larger ones. I added the panel photo but obviously its not fully mounted. I have to add some things before i totally install it. But what a panel it is.

Work In Progress

Hey everyone whats up. As some of you know im back in Illinois now. Been quite busy as of lately. But i have good news for everyone. Im about setup again to be able to start working on my FSX projects again. I also have alot of other things going on so please bear with me. A friend of mine has to complete multiple ultralight airplanes by the end of January so ill be helping him with that. Not to mention he made me a deal i couldnt refuse on the American Aircraft Falcon ultralight that he had so im working on getting it all together. I hope to be flying it soon. Here is a pic taken a couple weeks ago of me in the cockpit of it.
While finding stuff i needed for the plane i ran into something pretty cool and inexpensive on Ebay and i thought id pass along the link to the store. http://stores.ebay.com/REMOVE-BEFORE-FLIGHT-online
The item in the store im referring to is the Remove Before Flight keychains. I believe they come in multiple colors but for myself i just bought red. I bought some for my keys and the plane. They are much better quality than i expected for the price. From time to time i run into good deals and if i like it enough i pass it on. This would also make a great gift for any aviation enthusiasts you know.
Well i will keep you all updated on the progress. I want to take this time to urge you all to sign up on our twitter page as we will be giving much more frequent updates there. Our twitter page if you havent figured it out is http://www.twitter.com/SimGameIt . We will start announcing when we go into game whether it be BF2 or FSX so you guys can join in on the fun.
Me and Chris have been shooting it up in BF2 when we get the chance and having alot of fun. The new 1.50 patch is a major improvement. Also remember BF1943 for PC comes out in December from what ive heard and BF Bad Company 2 comes out in the spring i believe. I already have them preordered so well be playing them as well.
Ok folks i hope to see some of you soon. As always our GameComm server is up and your welcome to join anytime. We will be checking out TeamSpeak3 to see what it has to offer when the beta is released. Hopefully very soon ill be pumping out a few planes and the carrier able to go 70+ knots soon for FSX. We also have talked and will be modding payware aircraft and listing the mod files. Just like our F-18 mod you will have to purchase the actual plane download in order to use the mod version. We obviously cannot provide payware for free however i can alias my files to theirs so we can enjoy the really nice planes the SimGameIt way LOL. See you in the skies soon.
