Just a short article here. This weekend is the annual fly in at Gateway Airpark (61LL) in Pierron Illinois. This is the airpark that i have been receiving my ultralight pilot training which is going really good by the way. I plan to get lots of video and pictures of the event and contests and i plan to get some interviews with some of the pilots. I will put all the media i get into a video and post it right here on the front page of the site.

For those wondering where the new downloads are dont fret they are coming very very soon. This week i will be busy helping the owner of the airpark get ready for this exciting event.

Things to come soon on the site include a new jet with modded and un-modded versions and a new carrier for multiplayer. A little birdy told me that the carrier will be able to meet or exceed speeds of 90 knots.

A new tools section will be added to the downloads along with modded versions of payware aircraft. You will have to have the original version of these aircraft installed to be able to utilize the mods just the same as our F-18.

Ok hope to see you in the skies soon!

Help Me Kick and Scream PDF Print E-mail

Hello everyone. Since i realize that our website patrons range in a variety of ages,

professions, and cultures i have come to you for help. As of lately ive made several

attempts to contact diffrent members of the government in the U.S. and it seems

i have done so in vain.

In this new era it seems that we have an ever increasing interest in "green" energy.

It seems like alot of members in our government think nuclear energy is the way to go.

While it is a mostly clean form of energy it is still very dangerous. While the constantly

updated safety features of these plants insure more and more safety against meltdowns

we still have highly radioactive waste from these plants and it seems like there is no

consideration for natural disasters and or terrorism not to mention "conventional" war.

And in the end we are still getting ripped off by the powerful and corrupt power

companies.

We are told as children if someone tries to do harm to us that we should kick and

scream until someone listens to us but as adults i think we forget or ignore that

valuble lesson. I am one of many that know of a CLEAN energy source that

is ready for us to develop. Its time we quit protecting the wealthy interests of power

companies and truley work on what we say we want.

I have contacted Richard Durbin's office (D) Senator of Illinois and

Claire McCaskill (D) Senator of Missouri without being able to talk to either

of them personally. As of a couple days ago i sent a message to none other

than Sarah Palin (R) Governor of Alaska. Now im sure Palin's office hasnt had

time to read my message yet so ill cut her and her staff some slack as of now.

So now to what im asking of you. Im pleading that the adults of this site

contact their representatives and that the children talk to their parents

about this and show them this message. I also ask that you pass on my

email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to your representatives and encourage them to

contact me.

Folks i dont want to go into what the plan is at this point but i will tell you

that it would throw out the new idea of a Smart Power Grid and replace

it with NO Power Grid with no large company to get rich while dictating rates.

Folks its time to kick and scream until they listen to us. We are tired of getting

ripped off and tired of all the pollution. Please take the time to contact your

representatives and pass on my email and or this message. Thanks in advance

for your efforts and in closing God Bless you all.

This story was posted on a CGS Hawk yahoo group that i belong to and

i thought it was too priceless not to be posted here.

The author of the story is Robert Metzler and i thank him for his approval

to post his story on our site.

A good work space really makes a lot of difference in how long it
takes to complete a project. Its easy to find time to work on the
project if the work space is temperature controled, well lit, large
enough to have plenty of room and located so that its easy to start
work.

I didn't have any place that met any of those requirements so I had to
get creative enough to build my plane inside the house. Of course it
took some careful planning and checking to be sure that everything
would fit ... and to be sure that I could get the plane out after it
was completed. I was lucky the way the house is laid out and it has
wide doors. I moved everything out of the dining room and laid
plywood sheets down to protect the hardwood floor then moved in a
large work bench.

The first thing I had to do was assemble and complete the entire tail
assembly. That was then disassembled and put in storage so that the
boom could be stuck outside through the dining room window. Plywood
with a 5 inch hole for the boom sealed the window opening until I
finished.

The rest of the plane was completed on top of the workbench. The
prop, landing gear legs, and wheels were installed and then removed so
the plane could be carried out of the house where they were re
installed. The fuselage cover was installed after the fuselage was
inside the trailer used to haul the plane. The tail pieces were
covered inside the house then re installed on the plane while it was
in the trailer. The wings were installed and covered outside. The
wing battens and a few other final assembly details were finished at
the 2000 annual Hawk fly in. Chuck inspected the plane and Jim
Kajampa did the test flights there.

It worked out great because every spare minute I had I could just step
into the dining room and go right to work. Of course it takes a VERY
understanding wife to do something like that. I remember one evening
when she had to get on her hands and knees and crawl under the plane
because I had the plane blocking the hallway while I was working on
the window opening. She's a great wife but she wouldn't let me
include that picture in my construction photos :)

Back To The Basics PDF Print E-mail

SimGameIt has made a decision to get more things done

in FSX for the time being. After all thats where we got started.

SimGameIt would like to remind everyone why we are

here and what we are.

Firstly we came to make things easier for the Flight Sim Community.

By taking aircraft from other various sites and installing all the

available upgrades for FSX for said aircraft and putting them

into a self-installing exe that removes the need to hassle with

dragging and dropping files and folders.

Please vote on this issue in our poll to the right. ----->

I do not understand why aircraft makers spend all kinds of time

making the aircraft and dont stop to take a few moments to use

software to make the aircraft install. There is free software available

on the web to do so.

Secondly we started modifying aircraft just for kicks. Of coarse we

like to fly aircraft that simulate the real thing but once in awhile its

fun to fly mach 1 in a maule lol.

But the most important thing is to make the process of obtaining

aircraft easier for you. The Flight Sim Community.

We also like to point out we dont try to con you into obtaining a

pay account for faster downloads or blind you with tons of advertising

on our site. Your download speeds are uncapped for the low price

of free. We do ask that you register an account with us but your

information will not be shared with anyone unlike some other

flight sim add on sites.

As always thanks for your support.
